First Minister and Kirsty Wark to speak at SFHA Annual Conference

Respected journalist and broadcaster Kirsty Wark will deliver the keynote address at the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations’ Annual Conference in June.

The event will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary and over half a century of Scotland’s housing associations, with First Minister John Swinney set to provide a speech celebrating the milestone.

As one of the UK’s trailblazing female news journalists, Kirsty Wark presented BBC’s Newsnight for 30 years, stepping down after the 2024 General Election. Her long career on Newsnight has seen her holding politicians and public figures to account with her formidable interviewing skills.  

This year’s conference theme, “One Voice: Celebrating Fifty Years of Bringing Scotland’s Housing Associations Together,” marks a significant milestone in Scotland’s housing sector. Over the past five decades, housing associations have played a crucial role in delivering affordable, high-quality homes and shaping strong communities.

SFHA’s Annual Conference takes place on 10 and 11 June at the Radission Blu in Glasgow.
