First residents arrive at new Countesswells community in Aberdeen
The development of a new community in Aberdeen which will ultimately comprise of 3,000 homes has welcomed its first residents.
Stewart Milne Homes welcomed the owners of the first five homes at Regency Place in Countesswells.
Amongst those collecting their keys were Peter and Susan Scott, who said: “We chose to move to Countesswells because the location is perfect for us and we love countryside living; we can see deer in the woods from our house in the morning. We’re spoilt for choice with beautiful woodland walks for the dogs and we’re just a short car journey into the city centre. Our new house is cosy and private and we’re so pleased to call Regency Place, Countesswells home.”
John Low, managing director at Stewart Milne Homes, said: “We are delighted to welcome the first residents to the new community of Countesswells and everyone at Stewart Milne Homes is excited about helping them to settle into their new home.
“Our vision was to create homes, green spaces and amenities that match the quality of the beautiful setting that first inspired us to create a community here and it is fantastic to see that vision finally becoming a reality.
“We are proud to be designing a new community that offers a lifestyle where residents can take advantage of living in beautiful surroundings all within reach of the benefits that Aberdeen city offers nearby.”
As well as featuring a range of homes designed to meet the needs of different lifestyles from families and couples through to first time buyers and downsizers, Countesswells also offers social, sporting and leisure facilities with green space at its heart including a large Central Park, woodland trails, tree lined streets, cycle paths and horse trails.
The settlement will also include parkland and thriving businesses as well as new secondary school and two new primary schools.
