‘Five star’ service continues at Eildon’s sheltered developments
Eildon Group’s Sheltered Services and Very Sheltered Services have maintained their ‘five star’ ratings following a report by the Care Inspectorate.
The developments at Frank Scott Court and Teviot Court in Hawick, Oakwood Park in Galashiels, Millar House in Melrose, and Riverside House in Peebles were all recently inspected by the watchdog and the feedback given for all five locations remains at 5 - Very Good.
Eildon’s chief executive, Nile Istephan, said: “It is very satisfying to receive such an excellent report from the Care Inspectorate and it is a credit to all our sheltered housing staff and other Eildon colleagues who help to deliver such important services. We received excellent feedback from our tenants and their families across all aspects of our service. Eildon Housing Association is committed to continual improvement in our activities, whether it be in housing, building new developments or the delivery of high quality care services.”
Agnes Bell, Eildon’s care services manager for older people, added: “We appreciate that achieving such high standards and making sure we maintain them cannot be under-estimated, and is testament to the hard work and sheer dedication of all our staff teams.”
The care report contains evidence that demonstrates staff have very good relationships with tenants and know their support needs and routines very well.
The Care Inspectorate is of the opinion that a major strength of the service is the staff’s commitment, flexibility and dedication to providing the best possible service ensuring tenants’ needs are met.
One tenant confirmed, “I couldn’t ask for better staff, they are brilliant!”
