In the latest of RHS’s webinar series Stephen Phillips from Burness Paull will take a look at a range of legal frameworks used by community organisations pursuing housing projects including companies limited by guarantee, Community Interest Companies, Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations, companies limited by shares and registered societies (co-operatives and BenComs).

“For any community-led housing project, a critical success factor is having a legal structure that properly matches the requirements – but all too often there is confusion about the different options that are available,” explained Stephen. “The purpose of this webinar is to blow away some of the mystique that attaches to legal structures – and help build more confidence about approaching those early discussions on the legal framework which are such an important part of the process.”
