Funding opportunity to apply the Place Standard Tool
Public Health Scotland has announced an opportunity for local authorities, housing associations and third sector organisations to apply for funding to undertake a Place Standard Tool assessment in their areas and to implement the recommendations which the assessment will produce.
This funding from Public Health Scotland in partnership with the Scottish Government sees a total of £10,000 available with each organisation invited to apply for up to a maximum of £2000. Applications will be awarded in October and the funds need to be spent by March 2022.
Applications will be awarded if they:
- Detail how the PST will be used including aim, how the work will be developed and delivered and who will be involved.
- Describe the people, communities or groups that will benefit from a PS assessment being undertaken.
- Set out evidence demonstrating that a need for a PS assessment has been identified which for example includes details, research undertaken or community engagement.
- Detail any constraints/challenges and how these will be overcome.
- Include the amount of funding sought per location, what this will be spent on and by when.
- Detail intended outcomes and gives an overview of plans for monitoring/evaluation.
- Include details of referees.
The closing date for applications is September 17.
