Glasgow apartment development moves closer to approval
Urban Pulse has successfully achieved a resolution to grant planning permission for 19 apartments in Glasgow’s West End.
Glasgow City Council’s local review body backed the developer’s appeal against an earlier rejection and granted permission for the site at Fergus Drive and Wilton Street, near Queen Margaret Drive.
The council’s earlier refusal for the demolition of the existing building had already been overturned on appeal by the Scottish Government.
The joint applicant said the development will incorporate generous proportions of living space, 100% parking, and views to the Kelvin as well as Botanic Gardens.
The design by Holmes Miller is “impeccable” and “befitting of the conservation area”, the developer added.
