Glasgow City Mission given donation from Partick Housing Association
Partick Housing Association has made a charitable donation of £300 to support Glasgow City Mission in providing a shelter to rough sleepers in the city.
The Glasgow Winter Night Shelter is a project managed by Glasgow City Mission in partnership with charities, organisations and housing associations concerned with tackling homelessness.
The shelter provides emergency accommodation for some of the city’s most vulnerable people during the coldest months of winter. In the mornings, the service connects people to Glasgow City Council’s homelessness case team, healthcare and other services.
A spokesperson for Partick Housing Association said: “As in previous years, PHA has made a charitable donation of £300 to support Glasgow City Mission in providing the shelter. During the festive period, a time when we face some of our toughest weather conditions, it is especially important for us to support the great work of the staff and volunteers at Glasgow City Mission.”
The Glasgow Winter Night Shelter operates from December 1 to March 31. The Partick South Church is holding a Coffee, Cake and Christmas event on December 16 to raise funds for the Glasgow City Mission’s Christmas Appeal.
