Glasgow hosts major homelessness summit today
A major homelessness summit is being convened in Scotland’s largest city by Glasgow City Council today.
Housing Minister Kevin Stewart will attend the summit, which will be chaired by Councillor Mhairi Hunter, City Convenor for Health and Social Care Integration.
It will also be attended by charities Glasgow City Mission, Turning Point and Simon Community.
The council said its intended outcome is to “agree political and partnership leadership for driving the solutions to meet the challenge of addressing rough sleeping and providing a clear remit for a Rough Sleeping Taskforce”.
The summit is being livestreamed on YouTube.
