Glowing reports for South Lanarkshire sheltered housing support services
Sheltered housing support services across South Lanarkshire have received glowing reports following recent inspections by the Care Inspectorate.
The council’s services were graded ‘Very Good’ across all three themes – Quality of care and support, Quality of staffing and Quality of management and leadership – and the reports included positive feedback from tenants.
As part of the process, the Care Inspectorate attended the Sheltered Housing Tenants Conference in October 2016, visited local complexes, speaking with tenants and staff and reviewing the feedback from tenants’ questionnaires.
The Inspectors highlighted a number of key strengths of the service including very high levels of appreciation by the tenants using the service.
South Lanarkshire Council’s head of housing services, Annette Finnan, said: “We are delighted with the outcomes of the recent inspections. It is reassuring to hear that our support service is making a real difference to tenants’ lives and fantastic news to receive the ‘Very Good’ grading.”
