Gold accreditation for Oak Tree Housing Association
Oak Tree Housing Association (OTHA) has been awarded gold accreditation against the Investors in People Standard for demonstrating a commitment to high performance through good people management.
The award, which follows a re-assessment, sees OTHA join the top thirteen per cent of accredited organisations across the UK.
Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enable organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale. There are four levels of accreditation; Accredited, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
On presenting the award, Peter Russian, CEO of Investors in People Scotland, said: “I would like to congratulate OTHA Investors in People Gold accreditation, this is the sign of a great employer, whose commitment to their community is reflected in their investment in their people. We need more employers like OTHA, both in Greenock, and in Scotland. OTHA should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Commenting on receiving the award, Jackie McKelvie, OTHA’s chairperson, added: “This is a fantastic achievement for OTHA and I would like to congratulate all of the staff team and Committee. I know that our staff and Committee make a difference and by investing in our team, OTHA are looking to create sustainable success.
“I know that IIP is designed to help organisations and its people to realise potential, providing a simple road map for excellence. With our Gold accreditation success, OTHA is certainly working to realise our people potential.”
