Gold health and wellbeing award for Cassiltoun Housing Association
Cassiltoun Housing Association has followed its Healthy Working Lives Silver Award in 2015 by achieving the Gold award this year.
To achieve the award, the Association had to demonstrate its long-term commitment to improving health and wellbeing both within the workplace and in the wider community.
A strategy and action plan was developed for the next three years. Staff views were obtained via a health needs assessment.
Topics covered have included lifestyle checks; relaxation & resilience classes for both staff and the local community; training for managers on how to manage mental health in the workplace and mindfulness sessions.
Chairperson Anna Stuart MBE said: “The health and wellbeing of our staff team is very important and as an employer we are keen to set high standards of support and care for all our staff. Achieving the HWL Gold Award demonstrates our commitment but it also sets out the benchmark for the future.
“We want our staff to know that they are highly valued here at Cassiltoun and I look forward to offering continued support in the years ahead. Our staff team are dedicated and highly motivated. Anything we can do to maintain their performance for our tenants must be worthwhile.”
