Govan Housing Association in the running for national Investors In People award
Staff from Govan Housing Association are off to London today after being shortlisted for the prestigious annual Investors In People Awards.
Following a successful review of its Platinum status in the summer, Investors In People has nominated the Association as a candidate for the Best Platinum Employer (with 50-249 employees) category.
Bill Pritchard, Govan HA’s chairman, said: “This is such a thrill, to have achieved Platinum IIP status in the first place was a real achievement by the Association’s staff, to now be nominated by IIP for the Best Platinum Employer category is just wonderful. Our chief executive, Fiona McTaggart, and her team work extremely hard and are absolutely committed to developing the ability of our staff and providing opportunities for them to flourish in their chosen career paths. This in turn creates a motivated and committed team who all go that extra mile for the Association and their Tenants.
“The whole management committee of Govan Housing Association are very proud to have been nominated for the award and we will be attending the award ceremony in London this Thursday with senior staff. We may not win but to have just been nominated is a real honour.”
Scottish Housing News wishes Govan Housing Association all the very best of luck.
