Government issues guidance for stakeholders on Coronavirus (Scotland) Act
New guidance has been published for central and local government and public bodies in Scotland on key measures contained within the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020.
The short guidance note is intended to stakeholders an overview of key measures contained within the legislation, which came into force on April 7.
Rather than providing a comprehensive or in depth overview of the provisions of the Bill, it is intended to highlight key changes made by the Act, and to provide a short guide to public authorities regarding how the new legislation may affect key areas of business.
The focus of this guidance is on those provisions with effect across the public sector in Scotland, for example in relation to the temporary changes which have been made to reporting and publication requirements, and to Freedom of Information timescales.
