Voluntary group GOLD Group Volunteers in partnership Garrion People’s Housing Co-op organise and co-ordinate a variety of leisure and development activities and services for the Gowkthrapple community, working to try and improve the quality of life for local residents as well as improving the local environment.

Patryk Topolski, chairman of GOLD Group Volunteers, said: “Gowkthrapple is a place for everyone, this over 60s event by local volunteers offered an afternoon tea of sandwiches, sweet and savoury snacks and a good old fashioned sing-song with entertainer Kirk James.”
