Gowrie’s Dundee Disco proves to be a success
Over 200 people in Dundee supported by Gowrie Care got into the festive spirit at the Apex Hotel with their biggest disco to date.
Gowrie Care manages a number of services throughout the city which support people to live their lives. Gowrie currently supports people who have a learning disability, mental health problems, people on the Autism Spectrum, older people and people who are or have been homeless.
Joy Dunlop, Gowrie Care managing director, said: “The Gowrie disco is the highlight of the social calendar for a lot of people we support. Every year this event just gets bigger and bigger.”
Joy Dunlop added: “Providing the people we support with social opportunities is just as important as the day to day services.
“It’s been fantastic to see so many people enjoying themselves tonight. As well as the chance to catch up with friends, the disco was the opportunity for people to let loose on the dance floor and enjoy a visit from Santa Claus himself.”
