Lintel Trust’s ‘Great Big Lintel Jam Night’ was the best one yet, generating £3,607 through sponsorship and ticket sales.

Over 300 people attended the gig at the Ferry on February 16, which featured performances from headliners The Sensational David Bowie Tribute Band, as well as regular favourites MacBlondie, The Regenerators, Aye Candy, AChoired Taste and newcomers, Marvin T Knopfler and the Becks.

The money raised at the concert will help Lintel provide much needed funding to community projects helping social housing tenants throughout Scotland.

DSC_0050Lintel Trust development officer, Kate Christie, said: “We’re delighted with the success of the night, which is largely down to the high quality and energy of the bands. A huge thank you goes out to our regular bands, who gave their time voluntarily, and especially to Alasdair McKee, of MacBlondie, who did an enormous amount of work to make the night possible.

“We had a record number of guests attending this year and it is fantastic to be able to welcome new people to the event as well as those who have attended in previous years. The money raised will allow us to provide more grants and improve more lives.”

The annual event has become a firm favourite with music lovers and looks set to continue for years to come.

Part of the Link Group of subsidiaries, Lintel Trust is a charity that works with voluntary organisations and local communities throughout Scotland to help provide solutions for people in housing need.
