Green light for Glen Oaks housing plans
Glen Oaks Housing Association has gained planning approval to build 30 houses and cottage flats for the Arden area of Glasgow.
The properties on a vacant 2.5-acre grassed site in Kilmuir Crescent would be built by AS Homes (Scotland) in conjunction with the Association.
Twenty houses and 10 cottage flats are proposed for social rent along with parking spaces.
Paul Kelly, managing director, AS Homes, said: “More than ever our homes are at the heart of our life and shape the quality of the life we have and provide for our children. We have an excellent relationship with Glen Oaks and I’m pleased we are helping to reinforce this with these additional new homes.”
Alasdair McKee, chief executive of Glen Oaks Housing Association, added: “We are very pleased to have been granted planning consent for a development of 30 new homes in Arden. The Association is still working on some final details concerning the project and is looking forward to once again working with AS Homes. We are grateful of the ongoing support of Glasgow City Council and our private lender in relation to the funding of the new homes.”
