Green light to increase number of flats at Dundee city centre property
Revised plans to convert the former Department for Work and Pensions building in Dundee into residential properties has been granted planning permission.
Aberdeen-based Cater Group secured permission to transform the Grade B listed property at 54/55 Dock Street into 38 homes last year.
It has now returned with new plans to increase this to 49.
Cater Group spokesperson Ewan Gibson said: “We are very excited to have our first development in the city of Dundee now approved and ready to move forward. After a lengthy second planning application to increase the number of units to 49, we are proud to be providing a high level of new build and regenerative conversion apartments to the area.
“It is a fantastic, listed building in one of the best locations in the city and will provide a great addition to the continued redevelopment of the Dundee waterfront.”
