Greenspace Scotland to commission for National Covid Memorial artistic engagement process
Greenspace Scotland is seeking to commission an artist/artistic partnership to engage creatively with communities to co-design an artistic statement and concept to inform the development of a National Covid Memorial in Pollok Country Park, Glasgow and that could be utilised by communities and other organisations in greenspaces across Scotland.
The work is being carried out on behalf of the Herald Covid Memorial Steering Group which has committed to developing a National Memorial at Pollok Country Park for somewhere people can go to remember loved ones and reflect on events of this past year.
The initial commission is to undertake an artistic engagement process, connecting with a wide range of individuals and organisations, to co-design an artistic statement and concept to inform the development of a Memorial in Pollok Country Park and that could be utilised by communities and other organisations for greenspace sites across Scotland.
