Harbour adopts Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing
Harbour Homes has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by adopting the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).
This voluntary reporting framework overseen by Sustainability for Housing covers 48 criteria including carbon emission, energy efficiency, safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, and resident voice.
Heather Kiteley, group chief executive of Harbour, said: “Everything we do is focused on supporting the vibrant and sustainable communities across Leith and north Edinburgh. I’m thrilled that we’re adopting the Sustainability Reporting Standard and joining the wider movement to ensure we can track and report on Harbour Homes’ progress towards its environmental and social goals in a transparent and consistent way.
“This will really help us to ensure we’re on track to deliver on our ambitions and to spot more opportunities to make a positive impact on the environment and communities.”
Brendan Sarsfield, chair of Sustainability for Housing, added: “Congratulations to Harbour Homes for becoming the latest adopter of the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing. We are delighted to add another Scottish housing association to the ever-growing list of adopters. We look forward to seeing Harbour’s progress over the coming years.”
