The scheme involves treating at least 40 properties for the Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP).

The tender was issued as part of HHP’s commitment to the Scottish Government’s HEEPS-CAP programme and covered different options to insulate the properties.

Eco Insulate Ltd’s solution was found to be the most practical and cost effective option as work to each property was likely to be completed in under one day and there was no need to decant tenants.

Work is scheduled to begin in early February, with completion by the middle of March.

Bryan Woods, managing director of Eco Insulate Ltd, said: “We’re pleased to renew our business relationship with HHP and to be able to continue to help them meet the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing.

“It can be difficult to achieve these standards in more remote areas where their traditional buildings are off grid and have to rely on fossil fuel or electric heating. HHP’s own independent consultants found that our open cell foam products can help meet the minimum standards required by the Government to help reduce Scotland’s CO2 emissions.”
