Helensburgh company appointed to I-FLAIR works framework
Stewart & Shields Ltd has become the latest contractor to be appointed to a framework agreement for eight housing associations based in Inverclyde, East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire.
The I-FLAIR consortium includes Arklet HA, Barrhead HA, Bridgewater HA, Cloch HA, Linstone HA, Oak Tree HA, Paisley South HA and Williamsburgh HA.
The consortium’s property maintenance framework, which is anticipated to be in the region of around £28 million over a period of four years, will see Stewart & Shields carry out re-roofing and rendering work.
The firm is currently carrying contracts with similar type works for Falkirk Council and Argyll Community Housing Association.
Managing director Jim Shields said: “We are delighted to be appointed to the I-Flair Framework and we look forward to our first opportunity to carry out works for the housing associations involved. This will provide us with the opportunity to engage with their communities and work with local people.”
Stewart & Shields Ltd are based in Helensburgh and carry out works throughout Scotland. In addition to the re-roofing and rendering the company is also involved in contracts up to £5,000,000 which include new build flats, community halls, leisure, commercial and retail. The company has extensive experience in working on historic and listed buildings.
Jim added: “Although we do high value contracts we are pleased to provide a local building & repairs service to the businesses and residents of the Helensburgh area. This is where the company started 42 years ago and we proud of those roots and will continue to provide this local service.”
Last week multi-sector firm Campbell & Kennedy (C&K) was selected to carry out electrical maintenance work for the consortium.
