HHP presented with Armed Forces Covenant
Ray Watt, regional employer engagement director from Highland Reserve Forces & Cadets Association visited the HHP offices to present the organisation with its Armed Forces Covenant.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from businesses to those who serve or who have served, and their families, which states that HPP will do all that it can to ensure that they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives.
Furthermore, HHP will endeavour to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by promoting the Armed Forces, giving housing applications from ex-service personnel fair consideration ensuring they are not disadvantaged and offer job interviews to any Armed Forces veteran applicants who meet the requirements of the personal specification.
Alongside this, HHP will supports its employees who choose to be members of the Reserve and Cadet Forces.
HHP chief executive, Dena Macleod, said: “I heard about the Army Covenant at an Army Engagement event in 2023 at An Lanntair, Stornoway, and thought it was something HHP should support so it was great to meet Ray today and receive our certificate. We look forward to demonstrating our commitment by applying for the bronze award.”
