Hillcrest and Dark Dundee shine light on local charity
Local charity Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia is set to benefit from an exclusive one-off tour of Dundee that will never be seen again.
In partnership with Hillcrest Housing Association, Dark Dundee will offer people the opportunity to visit an exclusive underground location that has never been seen before.
Taking in some areas that have now been populated by Hillcrest Housing Association, this special two-week only tour will explore what went before and what lies beneath.
Stewart Heaton of Dark Dundee said: “We’re delighted to be offering the people of Dundee this exclusive opportunity to see locations in the city that we’ve never had access to. When staff from Hillcrest approached us with the idea we were all very keen to get involved.
“People going on the tour can expect our usual mix of dark tales and dark humour while we talk about local folk from the streets and mills. We will never repeat this tour so it really is one not to be missed.”
Clare McNally, Hillcrest’s fundraising and grants officer, added: “In Hillcrest’s 50th year we set our staff a challenge to raise 50 grand collectively for charities of their choice. This event to support Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia is a fantastic idea and with 50% of the profits being donated to the charity is set to boost our total.”
Limited spaces are still available and tickets are selling out fast. Anyone wanting to book should visit www.darkdundee.co.uk.
