Gowrie Care, the registered charity of Hillcrest Group which offers varying levels of support to people in different settings, has announced the appointment of Joy Dunlop as its new managing director.
Joy will succeed Damian McGowan who has stepped down to take up a new post with a care company in England.
Joy started in post this month and will be responsible for leading Gowrie Care in delivering innovative support tailored to the needs of the people they work with.
On being appointed, Joy said: “I’m excited to be taking on my new role with Gowrie Care. Having worked with the company for over 20 years I’m proud to be part of an organisation that puts people at the centre of everything we do to ensure that they receive the support they need to live a fulfilling life.”
Joy brings to the post a wealth of experience in care and housing. Most recently Joy was employed as corporate services manager for Hillcrest Housing Association which is the parent company of the Hillcrest Group. Prior to this Joy held senior posts within Gowrie Care in the roles of improvements manager and area manager.
Angela Linton, Hillcrest Group’s chief executive, said: “Everyone at the Hillcrest Group wishes Joy well in her new post. Joy’s passion and enthusiasm coupled with her extensive knowledge of the care sector made her the ideal candidate for the job.”
Over the coming months Joy will meet with Gowrie’s many stakeholders and key personnel from organisations they work with.
