Hillcrest officers go mobile
After 12 months of planning by a staff working group with input from tenants, Hillcrest Housing Association went live with its mobile working solution last month.
As part of this improvement, Hillcrest’s housing and maintenance officers in Angus and Edinburgh have been issued tablets to enable them to directly input information when out in their estates.
Hillcrest’s customer service manager, Kirsteen Beeching, said: “Officers now have access to live property information at their fingertips and they can complete estate inspections, report repairs, and report on graffiti, fly tipping and abandoned cars while on the go.
“Having this in place will ensure all housing areas are visited regularly and have planned inspection dates.
“We are delighted to report that mobile working has already created efficiencies in time management and increased productivity.”
The mobile working platform was delivered by 1st Touch, a mobile workforce solutions developer.
Hillcrest now plans to increase functionality of the mobile working system to enable staff to complete more tasks when out and about.
