Hillcrest’s governing board members event goes virtual
Hillcrest’s 2021 governing board members event, which plays a key role in determining the company’s direction over the coming year, has taken place virtually amongst ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.
With the pandemic and its restrictions currently experiencing a winter surge, Hillcrest’s general board meeting (GBM) instead took to the airwaves, using a bespoke platform delivered by developers Resource.
Transitioning to a virtual event allowed the 40 attendees, including 30 committee members to continue to stay connected, and engage in key discussions and decisions.
A number of key topics were discussed at the event, including social impact, funding and Hillcrest’s business transformation project, which will see a number of processes and systems overhauled with the goal of smarter working.
Angela Linton, Hillcrest chief executive, said: “The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions has meant that we’ve had to quickly adapt our services for tenants, service users, staff and governing body members alike.
“With meeting in person currently not possible, utilising an online platform allowed us to continue to run this event, which is one of the most important in our calendar.
“Having the opportunity to keep in touch with our governing body members is also hugely important, and being able to attend the event from the comfort of the living room was certainly another benefit of this year’s GBM!”
