Hillcrest signs UK Armed Forces Covenant
Hillcrest Housing Association has become the latest organisation to sign the UK Armed Forces Covenant – a commitment to support the Armed Forces community wherever and whenever it can.
The Dundee-based association joins more than 3000 UK organisations to have now signed the Covenant.
Group chief executive, Angela Linton, signed the document for Hillcrest.
She said: “We’re delighted to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and pledge our support to servicemen and women. At the Hillcrest Group we are always looking for ways to diversify our workforce and by signing the Covenant we are showing our commitment to raise awareness and understanding of the Armed Forces community.”
The signing took place at Hillcrest’s Dundee HQ, with the document co-signed on behalf of Defence by Lt Col Al Jarvis RE, the Commanding Officer of Tayforth Universities Officers Training Corps.

The Covenant signings were organised by Highland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association and attended – along with signatories – by the organisation’s regional employer engagement director Michelle McKearnon.
Michelle said: “I am delighted Hillcrest Housing Association formally pledged their commitment to the Armed Forces Community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. They are a long-established organisation with a wide span of partnerships and we greatly appreciate their support. We are very much looking forward to working with them via our Employer Recognition Scheme and thank them for their pledge.”
