Homes and office plan lodged for Bishopbriggs
A property developer is seeking permission to develop housing on a brownfield site containing a derelict garage in Bishopbriggs.
Ross Donnelly has approached East Dunbartonshire Council seeking planning approval for four homes and an office at 1 St Mungo Street.
A planning and access statement reads: “This proposal identifies creating a flatted block with Ground Floor Office space and 4 flats above forming this three levelled block.
“The principal elevation will align with the new four and a half stories flatted block adjacent and create a feature corner frontage at the junction of St Mungo Street and Crowhill Road.
“The proposals sees the build at ground plus two levels above with a low height parapet to prevent the building over dominating the single storey and a half houses adjacent.
“The ground floor retail spaces are also set back 1.0 from the street edge to give the users of the office some defensible space and privacy whilst creating a live street frontage.”
