This award-winning social business group now has around 560 properties under management. We have also raised £20m through social investment to create a portfolio of 340 quality homes across the West of Scotland for people who need them.

In light of the acute housing shortages highlighted to Homes for Good by South of Scotland Enterprise and other stakeholders in the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway, we completed a scoping study earlier this year to assess the need and viability for the expansion of our model into the South of Scotland. This was supported by SOSE (South of Scotland Enterprise Agency) and TNCLF (The National Lottery Community Fund). As a result of this market research Homes for Good is extending its geographical reach, with its first office opening in Dumfries later this year, followed by premises in the Borders during 2024.

This exciting development is made possible through funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. We are now looking for a Lettings Manager to lead our work in the South of Scotland. Based initially in Dumfries, we will be working with private rented sector tenants and landlords, along with local agencies, to bring our unique lettings and tenancy support approach to the area. We will also be developing our own portfolio of high quality affordable homes, to increase supply of much needed homes in the South of Scotland.
