Housebuilder to update local community on proposed development at Robroyston
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland is to host a second public exhibition of its proposals to deliver a residential development of new homes through the development of land at Auchinairn Road, Robroyston.
Held in conjunction with its development partner Caledonian Properties Ltd, the event will take place on Wednesday 15 August between 4pm and 8pm at Wallacewell Primary School, Robroyston, G21 3RH.
This pre-application consultation event replicates a similar event that was held in June this year, and is another opportunity for members of the public to view the development proposals for around 300 new homes, with public open space and footpath links together with the associated infrastructure required for a development of this scale.
Part of the site outlined for the proposed development is identified in the adopted Local Development Plan for residential development.
Lesley McVeigh, strategic land and planning manager for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “Along with our development partners Caledonian Properties Ltd, we are pleased that in general terms our proposals for the development of this site were positively welcomed by the majority of those who attended the last event in June.
“We have reviewed and considered all of the feedback and suggestions that we received. Our second public consultation event on 15 August offers the local community another opportunity to give us their thoughts on our design proposals ahead of our intention to submit an application for Planning Permission in Principle to Glasgow City Council later this year.”
