HouseMark Scotland members pioneer new Embedding Excellence Programme
Falkirk and West Dunbartonshire councils are leading the way in self-awareness by piloting HouseMark Scotland’s new Embedding Excellence Programme.
The two HouseMark Scotland members are pioneering the new audited self-assessment programme that is designed to help landlords to excel by assessing their current performance against three key elements: governance and assurance; organisational culture and customer voice.
Speaking about the new programme, Daniel Keast from Falkirk Council said: “Piloting HouseMark Scotland’s Embedding Excellence Programme is a great opportunity for us to understand where we are on our journey to excellence and demonstrates our commitment to self-awareness and continuous improvement.”
West Dunbartonshire Council’s John Kerr added: “We are committed to delivering the best housing services to the citizens of West Dunbartonshire. Participation in the Embedding Excellence Programme will help us achieve this and strengthen our focus on delivering excellent services for our customers.”
Head of HouseMark Scotland, Kirsty Wells, said: “We are delighted to be working with these two outstanding local authorities through Embedding Excellence. The programme aims to stretch organisations by identifying both strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to build on what they do well and focus on improving the areas that matter to their organisation most.”
