HouseMark to forecast impact of COVID-19 to support sector’s response
HouseMark has announced the launch of three new data-driven solutions to support the sector’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 Impact Monitoring, Key Performance Forecasting and Budget Forecasting will provide landlords with the prompt evidence they need to understand the impact on their services, to deploy resources effectively, and to make immediate and long-term critical business decisions to secure their future.
The first of the solutions to be launched, COVID-19 Impact Monitoring, is now available exclusively to HouseMark members across the UK at no additional charge. This new solution will track the impact of the coronavirus and associated social distancing measures across a range of key quantitative measures including gas safety, arrears and staffing levels. The measures complement and enhance the data already collected by the Scottish Housing Regulator, and will provide rapid insight into the impact of COVID-19 UK-wide.
Talking about the new solutions, HouseMark chief executive, Laurice Ponting, said: “We are all seeing first-hand how data is shaping real-time policy decisions across the world; predictive, evidence-based decision making has never been more important to ensuring that we take the right course of action. Our members want to understand now what steps they need to take to manage risk, protect residents, staff and service users and ensure that business continuity is maintained during these challenging times.
“As the sector’s data experts, HouseMark is the only organisation able to deliver these new solutions to support the sector to effectively manage its response to COVID-19 and make timely, evidence-based decisions that will impact their future.
“The first of these solutions, COVID-19 Impact Monitoring, will give landlords invaluable insight into how the pandemic is impacting their key business operations and enable them to divert resources to effectively mitigate and handle demand.
“Our aim is to provide our members with insight and answers they need now, as well as delivering prompt future forecasts that help them to plan ahead and protect the future of their organisations.”
First findings from the COVID-19 Impact Monitoring will be shared with participants later this month. If you are interested in being part, please contact jonathan.cox@housemark.co.uk for more information.
