Four housing organisations which operate in the Outer Hebrides are supporting Scottish Housing Day today to raise awareness of the local housing options available.

Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar, Hebridean Housing Partnership, Western Isles Foyer and Tighean Innse Gall are also using today to showcase the work people in housing do.

One of the key themes for the day is addressing specific challenges and aspirations facing younger people in accessing housing and Western Isles Foyer will be making people aware of the work that they are involved in to help young people.

Another key theme that will be explored will be housing issues for older people and the options that they have around living longer in the right kind of home. Tighean Innse Gall will be making people aware of the work they do in relation to the Care and Repair Scheme and Home Safety Scheme.
