Housing sector encouraged to take advantage of Direct Debit toolkit

BACSOrganisations across the social housing sector are being encouraged to take advantage of a free, online marketing toolkit to help promote and increase Direct Debit sign-up rates.

The toolkit, launched earlier this year by Bacs Payment Schemes Limited (Bacs), the company behind Direct Debit in the UK, provides a range of customisable and free-to-use leaflets, images, and other templates which promote the benefits and ease of paying this way.

Organisations can also take advantage of a best-practice guide which provides handy hints and tips to help maximise marketing efforts.

Collecting payments by Direct Debit is cheaper and more efficient than the likes of cash or cheque, avoiding the need for costly back-office systems, or time required chasing funds. For those paying this way it is quick, easy and convenient and means that there’s no worry over missing, or forgetting, to make a payment.

And now, more organisations across the sector can benefit from the advantages of increasing Direct Debit sign-up rates simply by registering at www.bacs.co.uk/marketingtoolkit to view and download the full range of resources from the new marketing toolkit.

Bacs’ Dawneth Perry said: “As thoughts now turn to 2018 we hope that our marketing toolkit and the access to fee-to-use images, leaflets and other templates can make life easier for organisations looking to promote payment by Direct Debit.

“I’d encourage any organisation looking to run a Direct Debit campaign next year to take a look at the toolkit and see if it can help save time and money in 2018.”
