Hundreds of new homes planned for Aberdeen telephone exchange
Plans have been revealed for hundreds of new homes, some of which will be affordable, on the site of a former BT telephone exchange in Aberdeen.
Allan Murray Architects and Telereal Trillium have submitted an application for planning permission in principle to build up to 80 flats and 425 student bed spaces at Froghall Terrace, Aberdeen.
A total of 25 per cent of the flats will be reserved for affordable housing.
Under the plans, the existing buildings will be demolished and replaced with two blocks of accommodation arranged around separate L-shaped buildings and separate courtyards, connected by a central green space with pedestrian access offered through the gaps between.
The brownfield site was previously subject to an application for 110 flats but this has now expired.
