Kingdom Group hosts blockbuster Autumn Gathering

Kingdom Group welcomed customers to the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy for the first Autumn Gathering.

The event, themed “Keeping Cosy,” provided a vibrant and supportive space for customers to find out more about Kingdom’s services and access practical advice ahead of the winter months.

With activities across the day, customers were able to visit various stalls, including a “Winter Wrap-Up” area that distributed free warm coats, hats and gloves for children and adults. Staff from Kingdom were on hand all day to answer customer questions and offered tips and advice on staying warm while saving money.

Kingdom’s Asset Management and Housing Teams were also on hand to support customers and follow up on a wide range of actions like pet permissions, repairs, rent collection and window replacement programmes. Kingdom Works shared employability advice to those looking for work and training, and members of Kingdom’s Scrutiny Panel raised awareness of ways customers can have their voices heard and shape services across the organisation.

Partner organisations such as Safer Communities and Greener Kirkcaldy joined Kingdom staff to share their knowledge on a range of topics, from home safety to sustainable living.

A highlight of the event was a special screening of the film “Wonka,” which brought a touch of cinema magic to the afternoon, with tickets distributed free to customers.

One of Kingdom’s customers from Kirkcaldy attended the Gathering and said: “The event was truly a wonderful experience for both myself and my granddaughter. From the warm welcome to the fantastic atmosphere, everything felt so thoughtful and well-organised. We had great conversations, enjoyed delicious food, and loved the little extras, like the soup bag and goodie bag for the movie. The staff went above and beyond, even offering help when I had to leave early. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and effort to make sure everyone had a good time.”

Throughout the day customers from Fife, Perth and Clackmannanshire had the opportunity to book private appointments with Kingdom staff, making sure personalised support was accessible to those who needed it. In addition to advice on managing household budgets, energy efficiency, and tenancy matters, the event also featured a virtual reality demonstration to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those living with dementia.

Max Scotto, Kingdom’s lead customer engagement officer, who led the organising team, said: “Our Autumn Gathering is about more than just information sharing, it’s about bringing our communities together, providing practical support, and building connections. We are committed to supporting our customers through the cost-of-living crisis, and events like this help us deliver meaningful, direct assistance while creating an opportunity for people to come together. We are grateful to all our partners and volunteers who helped make this day a success.”

The Autumn Gathering embodies the Kingdom Group’s commitment to providing more than a home, highlighting the vital work of its wraparound services, helping customers and communities thrive. By working closely with local partners and keeping customers at the centre of their services, Kingdom continues to build strong, resilient communities across Fife and beyond.
