Kingdom Housing Association rolls out Protect Scotland app
Kingdom Housing Association is showing support for NHS Scotland’s Test & Protect programme by installing the Protect Scotland app on all business mobile devices.
The app alerts users if they have been in close contact with another app user who tests positive for coronavirus.
With over 1.4 million downloads to date, Protect Scotland is part of NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect strategy and is designed to help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
Bill Banks, Kingdom Group chief executive, said: “As an organisation, we believe we should do all we can to assist in the efforts to manage the pandemic and to look after the health and wellbeing of our staff. Installing the Protect Scotland app on all of our business mobile phones helps to protect our customers, our colleagues and the communities where they live and work.
“Users have the choice to uninstall the app if they wish but so far support for our approach has been overwhelmingly positive.”
Andrew Latto, interim director of HR, added: “Using the Protect Scotland app, along with sticking to current public health measures will help us all stay safe when we work, meet up, socialise or travel. For those of us who come into contact with customers it will add another layer of protection both for us and for them.”
