Kingdom recognised for investing in its staff

KingdomKingdom Housing Association has successfully retained its Investors in People accreditation for its commitment to training, motivating and rewarding its employees.

Bill Banks, chief executive of Kingdom Housing Association, said: “At Kingdom, we really do believe that our employees are key in our mission to provide More Than A Home and part of our vision is to be an employer of choice. We originally received accreditation more than 12 years ago and we are very pleased to have been recognised again — retaining our status as an organisation that puts people first, has strong leadership, a compelling vision and a culture of improvement.

“Perhaps the most pleasing result is that, when asked whether Kingdom is a great place to work, 96 per cent of our people who were interviewed by the IiP assessor answered positively. We’re not going to rest on our laurels though and we’re already hard at work developing a plan to make Kingdom an even better place to work.”

Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, added: “This is a fantastic achievement for Kingdom Housing. I would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement. Investors in People offers a flexible, practical and easy to use business improvement tool designed to help organisations and their people achieve their objectives. I hope that more organisations in the area will be encouraged to sharpen their competitive edge by choosing to work with us.”
