Kingdom Support & Care’s staff conference celebrates Great Support and Great Lives
More than 200 staff from Kingdom Support & Care gathered at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline across three half-days for the Fife-based care provider’s annual staff conference.
The event allowed colleagues to come together to celebrate success and share knowledge to help them continue delivering life-changing services across Fife and the Forth Valley.
Kingdom Support & Care (KSC), part of the Kingdom Group, provides over 8,000 hours of high-quality personalised support each week that helps people live independently in their own homes, living the lives they choose for themselves and achieving their full potential.
The conference theme was ‘Great Support, Great Lives’ and focused on workplace wellbeing and how risk enablement can help the people supported by KSC to live their best lives.
The event was hosted by Paul White, executive director of Kingdom Support & Care, and guest speakers included Dr Patricia Armstrong OBE, a specialist in resilience in the workplace, and Jon Ralphs, an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience in health and social care.
Speaking about the staff conferences, Paul White said: “Now in its second year, the KSC staff conference is a brilliant opportunity for colleagues to share their experiences and help us deliver exceptional customer experience for the individuals we support. Our guest speakers brought fresh perspectives and valuable insights that can help us in our professional lives, as well as outside of work.
“The nature of our activity means that it isn’t easy to bring our staff together while maintaining the support and care our customers require. Having the event over three half days allowed us to enjoy the best of both worlds.”
KSC support worker Sharon Gourlay said: “I have always been proud of the work I do supporting people to get the very best out of life. Attending the KSC staff conference and listening to Paul White speak with the passion he has to make Kingdom Support & Care the very best care provider was uplifting. Meeting others and sharing experiences was interesting and the whole day was very well planned. I enjoyed it very much.”
