Kingdom’s tenants take a walk on the wild side at Autumn gathering
Over 150 tenants, residents, and shared owners gathered at Kingdom Housing Association’s first Autumn gathering at The Scottish Deer Centre, by Cupar.
Visitors came from across Perth and Kinross, Clackmannanshire, and Fife to enjoy the family-focused day out at one of Fife’s favourite visitor attractions and learn more about the diverse range of services that Kingdom offers.
Representatives from Kingdom Works, Kingdom Housing Association’s employability project, were on hand to offer support and advice for those looking to get back into work and housing management and tenancy support answered customer queries and provided tenancy advice.
Susan McDonald, Kingdom Housing’s executive director of operations attended the event and said: “Our Autumn Gathering was a great success and was a fantastic opportunity for us to make our tenants aware of the services that are available.
“Our mission is to provide More Than A Home and now, perhaps more than ever, our additional support services are in great demand.
These events are crucial to us in allowing us to engage with a large number of our customers from across all of our operational areas, to offer our tenants a great family day out and to support an amazing local facility in the Scottish Deer Centre.”
Kingdom’s Tenant Scrutiny Panel plays an important role in helping inform and shape services across the organisation. Peter Gibson and George Duncan are long-standing Scrutiny Panel Members and attended the Autumn Gathering to promote the work the panel does and encourage new members to join.
Eilidh MacDonald, tenant participation officer at Kingdom, said: “We have received great feedback from our customers who attended the event. As well as appreciating the opportunity to enjoy a fun day out, customers have highlighted the value of being able to meet staff face-to-face and have their views listened to.
“This highlights the crucial role that events like these play in giving customers a platform to influence our services, so we would like to thank everybody who came along and gave us their feedback.
“We are already planning our next event and would encourage any of our customers to get in touch if they have suggestions about what they would like to see at this or if they would like to get involved in our other engagement activities.”
