Landlords invited to Stirling open day
Stirling Council has invited private landlords to an open day and conference in the town’s Albert Halls on Tuesday 12 May.
The event is an opportunity for private landlords, prospective landlords, and property agents to meet key players in Stirling’s private rented sector, to gather information, and to get advice.
Robert Steenson, the council’s director of housing and environment, said: “We have speakers from the Scottish Government, the Scottish Association of Landlords and the National Landlords Association who will be talking about all the recent changes in legislation, regulation and guidance and the planned introduction of a new type of tenancy agreement that would replace the existing six months short assured tenancy.
“I would encourage all local private landlords, and anyone thinking about becoming a private landlord, to attend.”
The afternoon conference running from 2-5pm is intended for existing landlords and agents, while an evening conference running from 6-9pm will be suited for those new to letting or considering becoming a landlord.
Places are limited at both and anyone interested in attending is advised to book in advance by emailing landlordregistration@stirling.gov.uk.
