Peter Shepherd, former managing director at Muir Homes and ex-chair of Mactaggart & Mickel Homes Trade Board, has been appointed to the post of director at Lar Projects.

Lar Group’s chief executive, Ann Leslie, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Peter to Lar. He is a vastly experienced operator and his depth and breadth of sector knowledge will be invaluable to us going forward.

“It is a considerable coup for us to attract someone of his stature as we continue our challenging growth strategy in the coming years. I greatly look forward to his contributions to our success.”

Mr Shepherd is also an experienced non-executive director having spent nine years as a board member of Hillcrest Homes.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Lar at what is an exciting time for the organisation. I’ve greatly admired the work that they have undertaken since their launch and their considerable achievements in such a short time.

“I hope my experience in the sector will help deliver our strategic goals as we tackle an impressive list of complex and challenging projects.”

Mr Shepherd takes up his new role with immediate effect.
