Larkfield celebrates 20th anniversary at tenant open day
Larkfield Housing Association held a tenant open day last week, celebrating 20 years as a landlord, and ten years as a subsidiary of Link Group.
The open day provided an opportunity for staff and Committee members to celebrate and engage with tenants and community stakeholders.
Local organisations including Heat Energy Scotland, Future Skills Project, Your Voice and Financial Fitness Services attended, providing information about the range of services Larkfield has to offer its residents. There was also a raffle, bingo, live music and speeches followed by some lunch.
The raffle raised a fantastic £261, with all proceeds going to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland.
Larkfield resident Caroline Devlin said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the day. There were great stalls to visit and brilliant prizes to be won at the charity raffle. I’m looking forward to the next one.”
Ward Councillor Ciano Rebecchi said: “It has been my pleasure to be associated with Larkfield Housing during the last 20 years and to see the association go from strength to strength. It is still working to make living conditions better for everyone in the Larkfield area and I wish them every success in the future.”
Lynne Griffin, Larkfield’s area manager, added: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 20th anniversary as a landlord today with our tenants and community stakeholders. This is the first of a number of community events to be held throughout the year to mark this important milestone for Larkfield. Looking forward, we will continue to work with our tenants and community partners to provide homes and services that customers want and that meet the needs of the local community.”
