Located on the banks of the River Kelvin and Forth and Clyde Canal, in an area previously known as ‘The Botany’, the Whitelaw Street properties range from two to four bedrooms in an area surrounded by green parkland and with views towards the river valley.

CCG has delivered the development on behalf of Bigg Regeneration, a partnership between Scottish Canals and the igloo Regeneration Fund.

Construction began in late-2015, bringing the first phase (21 homes) to completion by the following August. The second phase (19 homes) was handed over in April 2017, and through CCG’s approach to construction and an outstanding sales effort, the development was fully reserved by the end of April 2017.

With a site that was small in nature, flanked by parkland and an adjacent housing scheme, the use of CCG’s enhanced closed panel timber system brought huge advantages during the construction process and with it, long-term energy savings for the new homeowners with excellent thermal efficiency ratings.

The site layout was challenging but with the use of our closed panel timber system, we were able to overcome any problems to ensure a successful delivery.

Maryhill Locks is nominated for two Scottish Home Awards this year including Best Small Development (private) and Best Starter Home. The awards are due to take place on the 15th of June.
