Link Group’s advice services achieve top standard with Scottish Government reaccreditation
The tenant advice services of Link Group has been reaccredited under the Scottish Government’s Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers (SNSIAP) framework.
This accreditation supports organisations to adopt a culture of continuous improvement for advice work and is achieved through a mix of self-assessment, peer review and an external desktop audit.
Link Housing’s Advice Service coordinator Rhona Penman, said: “We are absolutely delighted with our achievement, especially as we are currently one of only three housing association teams to have achieved this at Type II and Type III for both Welfare Benefits and Money and Debt Advice.
“The process is very thorough, rightfully so, and for the reaccreditation, the team produced over 200 pieces of evidence for the desktop audit with 30 welfare rights and debt and money advice cases being scrutinised through peer review.
“This external validation means we can be confident we are providing first class advice during a time where more of our tenants need support with benefits and debt.”
The reaccreditation process was completed by Scottish Legal Aid Board and will be reviewed in April 2025.
