Link sponsors Hidden Door festival
Link Group Ltd was proud to be a sponsor of the Hidden Door 2018 festival in Leith, Edinburgh.
Hidden Door is an arts organisation which aims to open urban spaces as a platform for new and emerging artists, musicians, theatre makers, film makers and poets.
The not-for-profit festival is run by volunteers and is funded through ticket sales, sponsorship and fundraising. This year, the festival focussed on transforming the old Leith Theatre and former State Cinema buildings for 10 days of music, theatre, visual art, film, dance, spoken word, late-night DJs and special events.
As part of the sponsorship package, Link received six guest tickets, which it donated to its subsidiary LinkLiving - a not-for-profit organisation and Scottish Charity which supports isolated and vulnerable people. The tickets were then allocated to LinkLiving’s service users.
Craig Sanderson, Link Group chief executive, said: “Link has been involved in sponsoring social enterprises and locally-run community initiatives for a number of years now. We were pleased to support the Hidden Door festival and we were delighted to hear it was a success.”
A spokesperson from Hidden Door added: “We’re very grateful to Link Group Ltd for their generous support and we are especially pleased that this partnership allowed even more people to experience the festival who might not otherwise have made it along. Community outreach and initiatives like LinkLiving are very close to our heart, so this really was the perfect partnership.”
