LinkLiving gets its kilt on for charity
LinkLiving has signed up to the Kiltwalk which makes its return to Edinburgh on Sunday 17 September.
The popular fundraising event gives participants a chance to explore rural and well-known areas of Edinburgh while raising funds for a charity of their choice.
LinkLiving would like to encourage walkers and sponsors to join their team, dig out their best tartan and fundraise for a great cause. Walkers can choose from three options – the 26 mile Mighty Stride, the 12 mile Big Stroll or the 5 mile Wee Wander.
LinkLiving is a not-for-profit organisation and a Scottish charity. Its aim is to be a provider of choice and excellence through a wide range of socially inclusive care, support and employability services.
A family member of a LinkLiving service user had this to say about the organisation’s work: “The service LinkLiving gave my relative was second to none. I can’t tell you how much their support has helped them and I’m not sure they would still be here without it.”
Director of LinkLiving, Sarah Smith, said: “LinkLiving provides support to people affected by homelessness, unemployment, mental and physical health issues and social isolation, helping them regain control of their lives and achieve their goals.
“By taking part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk and raising funds for LinkLiving, you can help us expand our service to reach those most vulnerable in the community.”
