LinkLiving secures employability funding
LinkLiving Ltd has successfully secured grant funding from the Department for Work and Pensions to run eight employability courses during 2017.
Awarded from the Flexible Support Fund, the money will be used to provide 13 weeks’ employability support to 80 unemployed people aged 25 and over in both Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.
The courses, which commence in January 2017, will aim to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and experience to enhance their job prospects. They will include a range of employability support inputs including CV writing, self awareness, confidence building, mock interviews as well as a work experience placement for up to four weeks.
The courses will focus on providing assistance to those who experience barriers into employment.
Grant Alexander, Link Group Ltd employability officer, said: “By securing this funding LinkLiving will be able to provide much needed employability support courses to unemployed people in local communities. Our courses include an element of work experience which is designed to act as a stepping stone to some form of paid employment.”
