LinkLiving welcomes Sheena Stone as head of fundraising
LinkLiving has announced the appointment of Sheena Stone to the new position of head of fundraising.
The health and wellbeing charity supports people to overcome the negative impacts on their lives of ill-health, trauma, inequality and isolation.
Ms Stone joins the organisation with 16 years’ experience working in the third sector in a range of fields and with various stakeholders, including veterans and young people.
Director of LinkLiving, Sarah Smith, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sheena into this pivotal role at an exciting time for LinkLiving. Over the next few months, we will launch new services that build on our existing provision.
“These will support young people to develop personal resilience, practical and emotional skills, and the experiences necessary for successfully managing key transitions in their lives, including leaving care, moving into their own tenancy and achieving positive destinations.
“Sheena’s skills in fundraising and marketing will be key to further driving the innovative and person-centred approach to working with people at challenging times in their lives, for which we are renowned.”
Sheena Stone added: “LinkLiving is recognised as one of Scotland’s foremost charities in supporting people affected by trauma and helping them to develop personal resilience.
“I’m passionate about the work LinkLiving does and I’m excited to be joining the charity.”
